The person I have chosen is Saira (not her real name). I love her as a daughter and as a dear dear friend. She is an extraordinary woman who has gone through many trials, tribulations, and tragedies, as well as joys, in a number of countries through which she has passed and in which she has lived.
Saira has many strengths and I have seen evidence of these in a variety of situations. It is difficult to know which ones I value most as all are important, and together they make up and reflect the person Saira has become. She is courageous, open-minded, kind, generous, loving, intelligent, resilient, funny, vivacious, practical, hardworking, conscientious, tenacious, loyal, thoughtful, a great listener, a skilful teacher, and very creative. Saira is also dutiful (although this can be to the detriment of herself), and she has a respect for her faith and towards those who hold other faiths or none. And of course Saira is also engaging and very sociable, and able to mix with people of any background or heritage.
So all there is to do now, is to tell her, and this I am looking forward to.
