So the UK election is over. After a busy time leafleting, telling at a polling station, and calling up folk to try to get the vote out, followed by a late late night, I’m reflecting on what has happened. I was inspired during the campaign by the ‘hope not fear’ message, and I hope that communities can come together. And now here are some more acts of kindness from my log. In recent times I’ve:

  1. Remembered to turn off my computer each night
  2. Bought Fairly Traded goods where possible
  3. Spoken firmly but gently (I hope) to some young children who were playing too close to the road, and ensured they were safe
  4. Attended a lovely recital delivered by someone raising money for a charity, to which I contributed
  5. Resisted buying tasty foods flown from far away.
